Tour de Romandie began today with a 3.1 km prologue run in Lausanne over flat roads.

Czech TT champion Frantisek Rabon (Columbia - High Road) clocked the better time in 3'44, 2" less than Sandy Casar (FdJeux), Alejandro Valverde (Caisse d'Épargne) completing the podium. Robbie finished 87th, at 15" of the winner.
