Robbie is racing in Portugal, with the five days of Tour of Algarve. The opening stage linked Albufeira to Olhao over 176 kilometres, with two 3rd category hills on the way.

The stage ended with a pack sprint, won by German Heinrich Haussler (Cervélo)ahead of Holland's Dennis van Winden. Robbie finished 19th.
