Stage two of Tour Down Under linked Hahndorf to Stirling for the total distance of 145, including four 21 kilometres local circuits with a steep ascent.
Three riders rode 110 km in the lead, to be caught with some 30 km to go. Several attacks followed, but they never gained more than 25 seconds. Eventually some 80 riders arrived together at the finish and the winner was Aussie Allan Davis (Quick.Step) ahead of compatriot Graeme Brown (Rabobank) and Switzerland's Martin Elmiger (AG2R La Mondiale). Robbie finished 73th.
Davis takes the leader's jersey from Andre Greipel.
